The Deer Park Elementary School PTA was founded in April 2005 before construction on the school had even begun. The Deer Park PTA helps to provide our families with enriching activities and exciting events throughout the year. Some events you may not even realize are done by or supported by the PTA! • Action E – List Alerts are sent out to subscribers asking for a “call to action”. When the Florida Legislature is in session. Subscribers may be asked to email and/or write their legislators concerning a particular issue. Typically, a form letter will be provided. The user will enter name, address, etc and have the opportunity to personalize a statement.
  Sample Florida PTA Platform issues include: Adequate Public Education Funding, Arts in Education, Assessment and Testing NCLB, Daily Recess, Green Schools, Indoor Air, Teacher Certification.
